A few hours later, Laura wakes up. Her bladder is full to bursting. She jumps to her feet and rushes over to the toddler training potty she had used before. Like before, she manages to get there just in time. She sighs in relief, feeling her bladder give way. To her surprise, her bowels evacuate as well. Laura looks down, startled. She didn’t realize she had to poop, too.
When she finishes, she gets up and cleans up, then takes stock of the situation. She’s still potty trained, but only barely. Being too far from a toilet for too long might result in an accident. It might be worthwhile to consider putting on training pants.
After a moment, Laura shakes her head. She hasn’t gotten to that level yet. She’ll put training pants on when she needs to and no sooner. Satisfied, she gathers her things and heads for the door she entered through. Unfortunately, for some reason, she can’t open it. Even using all her strength, it doesn’t budge an inch.
Laura wanders around the rest of the daycare, looking for any open windows, or really any way she could escape. There’s nothing. She returns to the mats and sits down to think about what to do next.
