"So," Rachel Van Direstag said as she sat in a nearby chair in the dining room, "Who is she?"
"She?" Rob asked as he took off his backpack and made his way to the dining room.
"Yeah, "she"," Rachel said with a bit of a grin, "You know. "She likes me...". Who is she?"
"Uh, she's just someone I met at school," Rob said as he sat the table. He kept his eyes downcast to keep from looking at Rachel while Rachel kept a constant smirk on her face. "It's, uh, no one special."
"Uh-huh," Rachel said as her grin grew bigger, "Could it be that my little brother has a bit of a crush? Maybe even a real girlfriend?"
"Oh, it's not like that," Rob said as he waved his hands, his face flushing red. "As I told you, it's just a friend."
"Sure," Rachel said as she brought her fingers up and moved them in an airquote as she continued, "Just friends."
"Hey," Frank spoke up from the kitchen, giving Rob a reprieve from his sister's teasing, "Do you guys want some Mac'n'cheese while we wait for mom and dad come back?"
"Sure," Rob said quickly, taking the moment to change the topic. "Where's mom and dad?"
"They had an argument," Rachel answered as she got up from the table. "Frank said that they had an argument and mom had it with dad. So she took him to go out into the woods to meet a transformed were."
"What?" Rob said with a bit of shock. "Why?"
"She discovered dad was packing things up and she got fed up with him," Frank said as he put a pot of water on the stove. "She told him to follow her into the woods and I haven't seen them since."
Rob tilted his head as he thought for a moment. "You don't think that they'll...um...change do you?"
Frank paused as he poured the macaroni into the pot and said, "I don't think they will. I mean, they just wanted to talk. I don't think they had becoming weres on their mind. Although, given what they were arguing about..."
There was a heavy pause as the children considered Frank's words before Rachel spoke up, "Um...do you know if the internet's up or not?"
"Oh yeah," Frank said, "I was using it this afternoon to do my school work. It should be up and running."
"Thanks," Rachel said as she got up from her chair and ran upstairs to her bedroom. "I wonder how many subscribers I've lost since I haven't been able to post a video..." she muttered to herself as she went into her bedroom.
"Well, someone's excited..." Rob said rather dryly.
"Do you blame her?" Frank said, "I mean, she loved posting those videos on the Internet, even if she didn't get money for it."
The two of them were interrupted by a knock on the door.
