Laura wakes up the next day wet. Putting on pull-ups was the right move. Disgruntled, but glad she wore protection, she decides to continue wearing them. Just in case.
She strips off the wet pull-ups, wipes herself down, and pulls on a new pair. Then, she gets dressed in some more of her niece’s boyish clothes. Looking at her reflection, she is glad to see that her pull-ups aren’t visible through her shorts.
Laura grabs a quick breakfast, watches some TV while she eats, then decides to finally go to the magic shop. She grabs all of her items, including the dice from the safe. She stuffs the dice into a backpack and prays that they don’t roll on the way to the shop.
Laura locks the door on her way out and decides to take Alexis’ bike again. She’ll get there much faster. She bikes away from the house. The ride is thoroughly enjoyable, and she remembers just how much fun it is being this young. She comes to a stop outside an arcade.
Sure, enjoying her second childhood was what had caused her terrible situation yesterday, but there shouldn’t be a bunch of toddlers at the arcade. She could have some fun before continuing on to the magic shop.
