Anna wants to be pregnant. She’s always longed for the feeling of carrying a life within her. She rolls Laura’s die a few times before Laura has shrunk down to the size of a newborn. Anna rolls Laura’s die again.
“No time you have walked this Earth. Now this number is less. The die is no longer bonded to you, Laura Peters. Enjoy what has been returned to you.” Anna squeals with excitement as Laura disappears from the bed and her stomach bulges out. She rubs her baby bump eagerly. According to the number she rolled, she’s seven months pregnant.
“Oh!” she gasps, feeling Laura kick in her stomach. She giggles. “Don’t worry, Laura, I’ll be returning you to yourself in the morning.” Of course, she’s not sure whether she’s telling the truth or not.
Despite the discomfort that comes with being seven months pregnant, Anna falls asleep easily and sleeps well. She wakes up the next morning to a flurry of kicks from Laura.
“Shh, it’ll be fine,” she coos. She gets to her feet and gets ready for the day. Unfortunately, there’s no item of clothing that properly fits Anna right now, but she manages to make something work. Humming to both herself and the fetal Laura, she gets into the car.
Anna plans to go directly to the magic shop, but she spots a maternity store on the way and can’t resist the urge. She waddles inside, buys a few cute dresses, puts one on, and then returns to the car. Laura kicks her again.
“Hey, be gentle,” Anna scolds playfully. “We’re almost there.”
At the magic shop, Anna is relieved to see there isn’t a line. Her feet have begun to hurt. She goes to the front desk and smiles at the employee.
“Hello, I need help with some magic dice,” she says politely. She hands the dice over. The employee’s eyes widen.
“Oh, no, you aren’t supposed to be pregnant, are you?” he asks. Anna shakes her head. “Let me grab the boss. He’s the person who can fix situations this bad.” He indicates a seat by the desk. “Please, sit down.”
Anna doesn’t have to wait for long. Within a few minutes, an old man emerges from a back room. He walks over to Anna.
“I understand that you’re pregnant with someone regressed beyond the point of birth.”
“Yes.”
“Would you like me to fix it?” he asks. Anna thinks about this. After a moment, she knows the answer.
