The May issue of Animalia Magazine was called Spring Treasures because of several "valuable" things that had been uncovered by Animalians, as well as some things tied to mothers in Animalia, which to some can be more valuable than gold and jewels.

The Cover Couple were Zach and Mercy, due in no small part to the safe full of wild west treasures the two of them found. Their cover article actually featured both an interview that discussed the situation on how they found the safe and how they opened it and information on what was found in it. While the gold coins and silver ingots were a little obvious, there was great interest in the weapons and gold certificates, especially since there weren't many who knew what gold certificates were used for. As it turned out, as "historical documents", the gold certificates would be worth significantly more than "face value". The weapons, however, were generating interest because they were caplock revolvers which were valuable because they were older than "cartridge" revolvers and thereby valuable to both the history and technology of firearms.

There was also the story of Anastasia's pendant and the notoriety it had gained, both for the fact that there wasn't enough documented evidence to either prove or disprove that it belonged to the Romanovs, and for being targeted by Mercy. But there was also the story of the curse that originated on Creepypasta, precluded by a prologue that let everyone know that it was a completely fabricated story, before continuing.

Probably what got everyone's attention was the story of Ammy and her Councilors taking down the largest human trafficking ring in Asia. What made it amazing was the simple fact that it was done as a martial arts comic book instead of a news article. There were some hilarious moments in the comic, partly inspired by the Okami Videogame, such as Ammy using her "brush techniques" to disable the criminals' automatic firearms. There were also links at the back of the comic book that included the video that inspired the comic as well as the news stories that covered it, since the news AND the video ended up making headlines around the world.

There was also an article that talked about the history of alternative medicine, how it got started, and famous cases involving alternative medicine. What these famous cases involved, as well as the article itself, showed that while alternative medicine can be helpful, it's not meant to be a replacement for real medicine.

While everyone enjoyed the May Issue of Animalia Magazine, it was clear that the "comic book article" was going to make it one of the more "valuable" ones.
