Ramona opened the door and was startled, to see Ovidiu ina dress, a bouqet of flowers in his hand, standing right in front of her. She felt incredibly underdressed, in her tight but rather comfy black dress.
"I thought, a small present would be apropriate.", he smiled, "I also brought wine!"
Ramona was baffled: "Oh my god! Ovidiu! This is so nice of you... please, come in! Wow! They smell fantastic!" Suddenly she felt guilty for what she had planned tonight. On the other hand, she still had time to consider the evenings outcome.
"I'll go, get some water for these. You can hang your jacket there next to the door!", she explained and rushed to the kitchen.
"Where should I put the wine?", Ovidiu asked. Ramona answered, while setting up the flowers in the center of the table. "Here! Into the kitchen. It is also our dining room. As I told you, I share it with Daisy, but she is at a friends place for a few days." Ovidiu came in and showed her the wine. "I hope, you like muscat wine.", he said, raising his eybrows like a puppy. "I don't even know, what this is!" Ramona answered. "It is a very old kind of wine.", Ovidiu responded, "It is somewhat sweet, but aromatic. I brought it from my home town. Do you have an opener?" Ramona passed him a corkscrew, catching a glance at his musculous arms in action. A little absentminded, she put on the gloves and picked up two spoons, she wanted to use to mix the salad.... swooooooooOOOOOP The sound coincided with Ovidiu pulling out the cork, making him smirk and exclaim: "Sorry! Oh no! I just hope the wine will still be okay..."
Nervously Ramona smiled at him and then took a look at the two sided spoon, she was now holding in her hand. She put it aside and put off the gloves once more, before she took care of the salad with a new set of spoons.
"What is that?", Ovidiu exclaimed, holding in his hand the Bananorange, Ramona had created in the morning. She had totally forgotten about it. "Uh... I don't know exactly... A new sort of fruit... My uncle is a botanist and created it."
"Can we try it for desert?"
"Sure! Why not!" Ramona was actually quite curious how it would taste, herself. Then she set the salad on the table and opened the oven lid to get out the lasagne she had prepared. Ovidiu got up and reached for the gloves: "Let me help you!" With a quick move, Ramona snatched the gloves and put on one of them, carefully positioning the other on it's back, close to the sink. "Stop!", she exclaimed, "You are my guest, you won't have to do a thing."
She lifted the baking dish to the table, balanced it with only one hand and slowly, carefuly manouvered it onto a coaster on the table. Ovidiu observed her closely. "Supper's ready!", she finally said relieved, cautiously putting the second glove next to the first.
Ramona served the food, Ovidiu the wine and soon, they were cought in a fascinating conversation about each others lives and the many turns it had taken. The wine helped to make it get even more lively and soon Ramona realized, that she was not at all sure about her plan anymore. There were other options...
