Jake eyed the Asian girl again. He did notice that while they had the same breed, her tail was a black and tan color, while Jake's was an orange red. He wondered if genetics played some sort of role in what kind of tails people get. Would that mean his tail would technically be considered unnatural considering his American heritage? Nonetheless, he decided to walk up to confront the girl and ask for her name.
"Excuse me..." The girl was about to walk off until Jake caught her attention. Her tail jetted up as she turned behind her to see Jake. "You look like your lost. You new here?" The girl tilted her head in confusion. Jake then thought of something. What if she hadn't spoke English, or it was very broken? "Hmm... Interesting." The girl said in fluent English. This both relived, but confused Jake. What was so interesting about- "Your tail. Your definitely not Asian from your looks. You must have some special genetic code." Jake was a bit worried. He didn't really have an answer to why he had a Shiba tail.
"I... I get that alot. My parents told me we might have some Japanese lineage in our blood." Jake tried to explain. "Ah, I see. I guess it goes deeper than you know. You should be proud of such a rare gene. Not everyone is quite unique as you. At least not around here." She said as her tail started wagging. Jake was surprised he pulled that off. He was never a good lier. But even he didn't know it could be the truth. "Anyway, I'm fine. I at least know my classes. However, you could probably show me around for any recreation areas." She said smiling. "Of course." Jake smiled back and put his arm around her shoulder. "Name's Jake by the way." Jake introduce himself. "Naomi." She responded.
"So, you probably know all the hotspots around campus. Where are we going first?" Jake thought about it before he answered. "How about..."
