The attendant picks Laura up and carries her off the train. Mason trails after her quickly.
“Um, if you want, I can watch her,” he says hesitantly. The attendant looks down at Mason.
“Thank you, Mason, that makes things a lot easier for me.” She sets Laura on the ground. Laura gets to her feet unsteadily, sucking urgently on her pacifier. The attendant walks away to hand some of the younger children over to their waiting parents. Mason grabs Laura’s hand and begins to run.
Laura is waiting to hear shouts and a commotion, but luckily, they aren’t seen or followed. She and Mason come to a stop about a block away from the train station, panting heavily. Laura’s legs buckle under her and she falls onto her butt. At least her diaper acts as a slight cushion. She takes out her pacifier.
“Now what?” she asks Mason. Mason pulls out a phone and taps on it a few times.
“It looks like the magic shop is only a few blocks away. Come on.” Mason pulls Laura to her feet and sets off. As they walk, Laura can feel her diaper being flooded with urine. She pops her pacifier back into her mouth for comfort. She doesn’t want to admit to Mason that she needs yet another diaper change.
After a few short minutes of walking, they arrive at the address of the magic shop. And they see…
