Villar now sat within his fortress. Despite the success of their most recent attacks, a problem had arisen. A pro lemon that could put everything he had worked for in jeopardy.
"My Lord," Abolith said softly, bowing her head. "We have succeeded, the wizards were beaten. You claimed the life of Tom Harris. Victory is within our grasp."
Villar frowned, gazing out at his lieutenants. Yes his followers had beaten the wizards individually however, none had felt the timeline change as he had.
"Well most of us beat the wizards," Casseus scoffed, glancing over at Fukushu.
"I didn't see any corpses after your battle Casseus," Fukushu growled. "Delaying the wizards is one thing, their demise is a completely different thing." As the group now began to argue, Villar slammed his fist down screaming for silence.
"This is but the first battle in a long war," he growled. "This timeline has altered. Our plans and our success are in peril."
"How," Malak exclaimed.
Fukuahu now narrowed his eyes as he gazed at his master. Villar appeared pale, rubbing his temple as if to relief a tension headache. "Its the children I encountered isnt it?"
Villar nodded in response, taking a deep breath. "Lilith has given the kitsune the gift of life," he grumbled. "Thisebare but the first in what I fear could be a wave of reinforcements from the future. Reinforcements that could derail all we have worked for."
Villars lieutenants seemed stunned, glancing at one another as Villar stood. "The witch has lived too long," he said softly. "The time has come to take her off the board."
"Attack the other timeline," Casseus exclaimed. "My lord that was not part of the plan! Our goal is to attack this timeline before the other can come to their aid."
"Our plans have changed," Villar shot back. "We attack the park Lilith and Circe call home."
"But my lord," Casseus exclaimed. "The enchantments around the park, the demons."
"Are nothing compared to me," he yelled. "You four are to assault the park with an army of Voids."
"Forgive me for asking," Fukushu said softly. "But even with our combined power, trying to breach the defenses of the park would be futile. I fail to see how we could destroy Lilith."
"Because the attack is a diversion," Villar grinned. "I only need you to occupy those that protect Lilith. I will be the one that destroys her."
As Villar played out his plan, he explained what they would do. As his lieutenants attacked with the Voids, Villar would take the opportunity to sneak into Circes castle. Their he would find Lilith and kill the demon witch. As the group now went to prepare, Villar pulled Fukuahu aside.
"Fukushu," he said. "You are my most trusted lieutenant. The battle ahead will be fierce. I wish to provide you with a gift that will help in the battle to come. Will you accept?"
Unsure of what his lord wanted, Fukuahu gave Villar an uneasy nod. With a smile Villar stepped back, mumbling a spell as heengulfes the eight tail kitsune in a field of energy.
Fukushu howled in pain as the magic coursed through his veins. Straining against the power, Fukuahu grit his teeth as he sensed something. Looking himself over the kitsunes eyes went wide. Slowly but surely he could see an nineth tail now emerge. As the tail grew the kitsune could feel a tremendous amount of power swell within him.
Villar gave the divine kitsune a small smile as the spell dissipated. Villar could sense that the kitsunes strength had tripled. Now there were three divine kitsune that existed. While Fukuahu was still new to his powers, he hoped that this would give him an edge. An edge that would see the demise of Lilith.
