Not 5 minutes later Naomi and Kimberly turned up. They were carrying several large plastic bags.
'Hi sweetie' said Naomi when she saw Madeline. 'How did you pull up after your fall last night. Any bruises?'
'Yes actually. Look at my shoulder' Paul showed Naomi and Kimberly a fist sized bruise on her shoulder joint.
'Your a brave little girl. You would have been proud of her Mandy. There were no tears at all'
'Well I'll be. No one told me of a fall' said Mandy feigning ignorance.
'Poor Madeline learnt the hard way to get off the court quickly once the boys were doing warm ups. She had a collision with Simon and the poor lass came off second best. Anyway that's not why we are here. Kimberly spent the morning going through her wardrobe and has collected some of her clothes she has grown out of. She thought Madeline might like them. If you don't want them we will donate them to charity'
'I'm sure Madeline would be very grateful. Maybe we could have a fashion parade' suggested Mandy she gave Paul a cheeky smile. She was having fun. However Paul said nothing. She certainly didn't want Naomi and Kimberly to discover who she really was.
'I also bought along some books for you to read. But I want them back' said Kimberly
'Thanks Kimberly' said Paul trying to sound grateful.
'Your looking great Mandy. Are you on a fitness binge?'
'Thank you for noticing. I am, I've actually lost 5 pounds and I feel years younger' Mandy wasn't lying. 'Anyway Coffee? How would you like it?'
'White for me thanks. Kimberly why don't you take those clothes to Madeline's room and show her what you bought over. I think a fashion parade would be most appropriate'
Paul just had to grit his teeth and put up with things. He couldn't let on that he was not the little girl he appeared to be. He took Kimberly down the hall and almost to his own room before remembering at the last second that if they did have a guest staying they would be in the spare room, Fortunately the bed was made and the room tidy.
'Where's your cousin?' Kimberly asked as she tipped the bags of clothes onto the bed.
Paul had to think quickly 'I'm not sure. He left not 30 minutes ago. I think he was heading into town'
'He's so cute. I wish I was older. Of all Dave's friends I like him the best. Do you know if he has a girlfriend?'
Paul was very embarrassed. Kimberly could not have been older than 10 or 11. 'Um I don't know'
'You should try this dress on. I think it will look great on you. I wore it to my aunties wedding'
Paul glanced at the pink lacy dress Kimberly was now holding up. 'Are you sure you want to give it away it looks expensive?'
'I don't want to but I have to. Mum told me I have to get rid of anything in my wardrobe too small for me before she will buy me anything new. I only wore this a couple of times but it's too tight on me now me boobies have started to grow. Go on try it on'
So 5 minutes later Paul was in the lacy pink dress. He felt he had no choice but to go out and show it to Mandy and Naomi once they asked loudly when the fashion parade was starting. He blushed to the same colour as the dress when Mandy told her how cute she looked.
That was the first of 5 outfits she paraded. Each time she was complimented on how pretty she looked. Kimberly had also bought Madeline some shoes. Paul was grateful that his feet were too small to wear them properly. Mandy commented that perhaps they could keep them anyhow as Madeline would only grow.
It was 11 O'clock before the guests departed. The second the car drove away Paul turned on Mandy and in her little girl voice berated her 'Why did you suggest a fashion show? It was so embarrassing' She was still in a black skirt with a white satin top, the last of the outfits she had paraded.
Mandy just giggled 'You are so cute when you are angry'
Once inside a calmer Paul asked Mandy 'So how does this work? How do I change back to myself?'
