Unfortunately, there’s no way Laura will be able to get inside. Laura dances nervously. She can’t hold it much longer. Spotting a bush by the side of the building, she ducks behind it, pulls down her training pants, and squats. Her cheeks burn with the humiliation of pooping behind a bush, but it’s better than messing herself again.
Once she finishes, Laura takes a few steps away from her mess and cleans herself up with the wipes in her bag. Then she pulls on another pair of training pants. Now, she can wait in comfort until the magic shop opens.
Laura emerges from the bush and goes back to her spot in front of the magic shop. She sits down to wait. The thirty minutes pass by slowly. Eventually, however, a car pulls into the parking lot. Laura jumps to her feet eagerly. An old man gets out of the car and walks up to her. He crouches down to Laura’s eye-height.
“Hey, sweetie, why are you waiting here?” he asks gently. Laura holds out the dice for him to see. His eyes widen. “Oh.” The man stands up. He unlocks the door and opens it. “Come inside, then.” Laura toddles inside, hope swelling in her chest. She’s finally made it!
