The puddle begins to get deeper as it continues to rain. The world getting darker as it creeps towards evening. Your mind wanders for a while, as you continue to lie there and stare. You begin to notice it continues getting darker, and the thought of supper interrupts your semi-unconsciousness.
"Why am i just laying here?" You think. "I should get home and take.....a......shower....." For a minute, you lie there, confused. Wondering why you cant move. Why you're in this deepening puddle in the middle of a steady rain shower. But then, the image of a dirty old teddy bear enters your mind with photo-realistic clarity.
"Oh, fuck! Thats right! Ive been turned into a....fucking....TEDDY BEAR! Im a teddy bear! A god damn teddy bear! I cant fucking move!"
Your mind begins to panic. Desparate to move. Miserable beyond belief, despite the stupid smile sewn onto your face.
"How the hell do i get out of this!?"
"You don't! This is a soul-trap. You're stuck in this form forever, unless someone rescues you before midnight. A fake soul has taken over your life now, and nobody will ever be wise to this. So the chances of rescue is thin."
"Fuck, fuck, fuck! I dont want to be stuck as a god damn teddy bear!" You attempt to yell for help. To move. To do SOMETHING! But teddy bears are completely stationary and inanimate. Thrir mouths are sealed shut, and they have no bone or muscle.
You csn feel the water coming up on your face, worried you might drown. But you have'nt breathed in the last several hours, so you probably wont drown.
After a while, its completely dark out. It continues to rain. The water level in your dumb cold little muddy puddle continues rising as it continues to rain. Your conscience continues raging against its inanimate prison, to no avail. You know you had yo have missed supper by now. You know your parents havent missed you, because of the imposter. You continue lying in this puddle, bevinning to float a little bit.
A small stream begins to form, as the puddle grows beyond its confines. In the middle of the night, the rain begins to pick up. Eventually, it becomes a downpour. The water in the puddle begins to move more rapidly, and your delicate little teddy bear prison of a body begins to move with it!
The downpour becomes a torrent, as the stream's current picks up strength. You csn feel yourself begin to be carried along!
"This is just a dumb tiny little stream coming from a dumb little puddle," you think to yourself. "And im completely helpless against it!"
But away you float along. The stream carries you out into the side of the street! The curb looks like a large congrete wall to you. You flip over onto your right side, giving you a good look of a neighbor's house. Lights are on. Television is ob. People cheerfully in there!
You're lazily carried along, when your house comes into view! You can see lights are still on. The you catch a glimpse of yourself looking out of a window with a big grin plastered on your face! You see your mother momentarily on the porch. Your attempt to shout, stifled by your sealed cottony mouth.
For a few moments, you take one final look at your house, as a street-stream carries you helplessly along. The next moment, you're staring up at the underside of the curb as your world goes dark! The next moment after that, you're in free-fall, and land in even dirtier water below! Your body gets caught up on something, and you are forced to stare up at jail-like grating far above your head.
A gutter! Your nothing but filthy gutter trash now!
