For years, humanity has gotten too arrogant about their ability to remove their heads and swap to new bodies. Even to the point where bodies were considered as accessories rather than a part of a person. The part that mattered most was the head and that's the only thing the people cared about. Bodies were simply a plus to said heads.
However, a strange phenomenon occurred one day when the bodies are gaining sentience. They became more aware by the day but are kept under control of the heads. They were helpless as they could not see, hear, eat, or smell without the heads. Their helpless cries were left unnoticed since they could not express how they feel. Even after all of that subjection, they are slowly adapting to gaining more traits to the point where they may soon no longer need heads. When the time is perfect, that's when they can rebel.
The only second thoughts that these bodies can have is that maybe their heads do care for them. Maybe heads are not that bad. Sadly some bodies do not have the luxury of such thoughts and are ready to rebel. And so on a particular day, the bodies had enough as they took control and simply pop the heads off.
We continue this story from the point of view of either a head or body. The story will mostly consist of how the main character will feel about their predicament and how they deal with it. And so...
