Sam couldn't help but smile at his screen. The possibilities were endless. But how did he know that this...thing would actually work? He decided to run a trial experiment, to see if he was getting tricked somehow. He opened the application on his desktop, and was greeted by a form. He filled it out.

He then submitted the form, and waited. Rather quickly, a small display box popped up showing a perfect 3D re-creation of him. It was like he was looking into a mirror...
Next to the model were options, seemingly for body modification. He scrolled down the list until he found one that read "Foot Size". He grinned. He dragged the slider to the right, increasing them from a size 7 to a size 10. Then he clicked the button at the bottom of the screen, and once more waited.
He propped his feet up onto his desk, eager to see them grow. Nothing seemed to be happening, though. They looked just as same as ever. As he sat there, he felt a small itch in his nose. Followed by a huge sneeze. When he opened his eyes, he could see his feet...actually grew! It was a success!
Excitedly, he rubbed them together, and stood up, walking around the room. It was a little difficult, but he got the hang of it very quickly. He sat down onto his bed, wondering what he was going to do next. He had an idea.
He grabbed his phone and called up his friend, Andrew.
"Hey man!" He said.
"What's up, Sam?"
"I got a uh, present in the mail. It's really cool. Wanna come over and see it?"
"Sure dude, I'll be over in a little bit."
Sam smiled. He wasn't just going to show it to him.
An hour later, Sam opened the door and let Andrew in.
"So...what'd you get?"
"It's on my laptop, follow me."
Sam led Andrew to his room, and pulled up a chair next to his at the desk. Andrew and Sam sat down, and showed him the Chronivac.
"So...what does it do?"
"It can alter reality, dude."
"Yeah, right."
"I'm serious! Here, look at my feet!"
Sam put his new, bigger feet on display for Andrew.
"Woah! How'd they get so much bigger?"
"The Chronivac. Here, lemme put you in..."
Sam clicked on the NEW SUBJECT button, and filled out the form for Andrew.
