"Alright Matt," Kellie said. "I'll take you to see Samantha but I cant guarantee she will go along with any of this."
"Fair enough," Matt shrugged.
"Before we do though," Kellie asked. "Was curious if I could get a look at you? You know, the dragon you." Matt chuckled softly nodding as he now raised his hand.
In a flash of light Kellie and Matt now found themselves on the mountain once more. Shivering at the chill weather, Kellie now clutched herself as she looked towards Matt. "Figured I would need some room," he said. "And some privacy. Now whatever happens dont be freaked out." Kellie promised, watching as Matt now closed his eyes.
Kellie gazed intently as Matt began to change. The changes were odd to say the least. Matt appeared to shift and blur, like a picture that gradually seemed to grow more and more out of focus. Kellie could hear Matt groan, watching as the blurry image of Matt seemed to grow in size.
Matt's body grew larger and larger, swelling in size to almost 90 feet in length. Kellie could see the colors of his skin change, going from flesh tone to a brilliant gold. As the changes. Began to compete Matt's massive claw came crashing to the snow covered mountain floor as a pair of massive wings stretched outwards. Kellie now just gaped at the massive golden dragon before her.
"Whoa," Kellie whispered in awe. Matt chuckled softly, lowering his massive head in order to look Kellie directly in the eye. "I take it you're impressed," he said, his voice deep yet soothing. "Personally I've always been more fond of my human form. This, well, it does make for quite the impression."
Kellie could only nod in response. "So how are we going to do this?"
"I can bring them here," Matt said. "But I'll need you to mediate things. The after effect of my magic could disorient them." Kellie agreed, watching as Matt now mumbled a spell in a language Kellie was unfamiliar with. In a flash of light Kellie now watched as Samantha, Mike, and Tricia appeared before them. Oddly the couple were dressed in black, formal attire.
"What's going on," Samantha asked curiously rubbing her eyes. Turning she noticed the teenage Kellie. "Kellie," she asked.
"Hey Sammy, hey Mike, good to see you."
"Are we in the other timeline," Mike asked as he tried to keep his daughter warm.
"Not exactly," Kellie replied sheepishly. "By the way were you two out to dinner or something?"
A sad expression came across Mike and Samantha's face as they stared at the ground. "No a funeral," Samantha said quietly. "Mr. Harris died."
"How," Kellie asked, shocked.
"Villar," Mike growled. "He attacked Gloria and the others. Claudia's dad tried to help and, well..." Mike trailed off as his wife now leaned into him.
"I'm sorry," Kellie said softly. "I've been busy trying to gain allies. Actually I need your help with this one." Kellie now pointed behind the couple. As they turned both of their jaws dropped as they gazed at the massive golden dragon. "This is Matt," Kellie said. "Hes the dragon king."
"Matt," Samantha said curiously. "You know a dragon named Matt?"
"What's wrong with my name," Matt asked, raising a scaly eyebrow.
"I mean it's kinda plain," Samantha shrugged. "I mean I would think you would a name like Drogon or Godzilla or something."
"Honey," Muke sighed. "Really think questioning the massive dragons name is a bad idea."
"No it's quite alright," Matt chuckled. "I've grown accustomed to people being confused by my name. I'm just surprised to see you both seem comfortable with my appearance."
"Well it is impressive," Samantha said quickly. "I dont want to take away from that but, it's weird, I'm not scared of you at all. Why is that?"
"Because," Matt stated. "You have a connection to dragon magic."
Samantha and Mike gave the massive dragon a confused look as Matt now tried to explain. "You see," he said. "When you and your friends were given magic you unconsciously became drawn to certain elements of magic. Claudia was drawn to fire. Mika to water and ice. Mary Elise to nature and earth. It was expected that you would be drawn to the element of wind. Then something quite unexpected happen."
"What," Mike asked.
Matt smiled, showing off the massive fangs in his mouth. "Instead of wind your wife accessed dragon magic," he said. "She was able to channel the power of the dragon into her. That's how shes able to transform into a dragoness. That's something few wizards have ever accomplished."
"Sorry," Samantha blushed.
"No need to apologize," Matt laughed. "Its quite impressive, even if was accidental."
"So Sammy is connected to the dragons then," Mike asked. "Yes," Matt nodded. "And so is your daughter."
Instinctively Mike now stepped in front of his wife and child, his skin beginning to shift into organic steel. "What do you want with Tricia," he said sternly.
"I dont want to hurt your child," Matt said quickly, seeing the anxiousness of the young parents. "In fact I want to help her. Train her in magic, in much the same way the kitsune do with Mika and Claudia's child."
"So you dont want to take her," Samantha asked. Matt shook his head. "Of course not," he said. "Taking your child would only lead to mistrust from wizards and I have no desire to go to war with them. All we want is to make Tricia, and by extension, both of you honorary members of the clan."
"I guess that's okay," Samanatha shrugged. "But what's the catch? I mean their has to be a catch right?"
"No catch," Matt stated. "I dont wish to change who you are not do I want to take your daughter. By becoming members of the clan you would help me. Bringing wizards into the clan would be seen as a tremendous victory and secure my reign as dragon king. It would also complete the deal of an alliance between the dragons and wizards."
"Ultimately the choice is yours," Kellie added. "You make the decision of whether you want Trcia trained in dragon magic."
Samantha and Mike nodded, looking at one another as they came to a decision.
