A Game of Change

Wedding the dead

added by knliqur 3 years ago TG

After some consideration, Ty- or, as he now was, Lya- nodded his head and agreed to these terms. He didn't really have any other options. Escape was a joke at this point; Osato the kitsune had teleported him in, and he had no way around these fierce guards in heavy steel armor. And a simple look at Raunr's broad physique and the darkness in his eyes made it clear the lord would not hesitate to destroy him.
So Lya accepted who she had to become. Quickly, she was swept away into some royal bedchamber or other. This portion of the castle was actually quite nice- dusty, admittedly, and most of the decorations looked as if they hadn't been touched in years, but it was all far more lush than anything Lya had seen in the village.
She was guided by odd women. They all had the same general appearance as Raunr, being deathly pale, tight-skinned, and sharp-fanged. These women, however, were all timid and obedient. As they rushed around Lya, washing her hair, cleaning her face, and undressing her in absolute silence. As they redressed her in simple lacy white panties, a thought came to Lya's mind. These women must be thralls: undead creatures, transformed by vampires, but who lacked the power and longevity of their lords. It's logical, after all, for Raunr to keep servants who, like him, live agelessly, Lya supposed.
Her thoughts were cut short, however, as the thralls had her step into a huge white dress. As Lya pulled it over her shoulders, she felt herself frowning slightly. It was clearly a wedding dress, but it must be at least as heavy as Lya herself. The chest, mercifully, was perfectly flat but slightly padded, to give the illusion of bosom to Lya's bare chest.
Finally, the thralls brought her around to a full-body mirror, and she got a good look at herself. They'd done some masterful work, all things considered. Lya's face was the same, but the artful makeup, especially around her eyes and the blush on her cheeks, gave her the illusion of femininity. The dress was quite flattering as well, and a tasteful veil even covered much of her head, hiding her short hair from full view.

She didn't have much time to admire the mirror, though, as she was quickly pulled away and back out into the halls. Lya barely even noticed where she was going, as she was far more preoccupied with trying not to trip in her tight shoes, but before long, she was taken into the cathedral.
Apparently, Raunr really didn't mean to waste any time. The cathedral was largely dark, dull, and empty. A huge chandelier hung from the ceiling, but each one of the half-melted candles was unlit. Cold stone walls looked on with empty braziers and torches. At the far wall was a huge series of painted glass windows, though the colors had all faded long ago, and left a dust- and dirt-covered wall of gray and brown. Still, dim moonlight cascaded down onto the altar.
The cathedral was surprisingly full. A variety of vampires and vampire thralls- Lya couldn't tell which- all stood in the pews, dressed in heavy dark overcoats. Chief among them was a gorgeous woman with flowing scarlet hair, dressed in sorceress robes and adorned in fine jewelry. Lya spotted Osato, too, though he'd been kind enough to put on a loincloth for the occasion. There were a few other monsters and such, including one that looked like a dark blue-skinned minotaur, but the beastmen were outnumbered largely by the undead. At the end of the aisle was a skeletal man in pastor's robes, whose jaw clacked idly whenever he spoke.
Across the aisle, Raunr, of course, stood far more imposing than any vampire or beast in the cathedral. He was dressed exactly the same, with a huge black shroud and dark, elegant robes beneath, all more or less in a Victorian style. As Lya gazed at her soon-to-be-husband, he reached out a hand, beckoning her forward.

The ceremony went quite simply. Lya walked down the aisle and stood before Raunr, gazing up at his dark, cruel eyes as the undead pastor beside them spoke. The skeleton's speaking was hard to understand at times, but Lya gave the requisite "I do"'s and such to progress the ceremony when prompted.
Eventually, the skeleton pastor spoke a few final words and raised his hands in praise. The cathedral erupted into weak, soft, sporadic claps, though it was largely fairly quiet. Raunr leaned down to guide Lya into a kiss, and they were officially married.
As their lips parted, Lya felt the vampire lord's hands slip down her waist and rest on her small ass, gripping him tightly. "It's time we put on a show, my Lady," Raunr growled softly in Lya's ear. His rumbling voice sent shudders down her spine, but she held still, letting him grope her ass before the crowd. "Remind these underlings why I am their rightful lord."
