Kaitlin stood dumbstruck, staring at the 6 year old girl in front of her. If she hadn't seen the teenager shrink down in front of her she would never have believed it.
Laura scrambled to her feet, finally freeing herself from her sweatpants. Glaring with all the fury her youthful features could muster she now charged at Anna.
"How could you," Laura cried, tears stinging her eyes. Anna backpedaled, the color draining from her face. "I'm sorry," she stammered. "It was an accident." Laura couldn't hear her as she now lept at Anna. The two 6 year olds tumbling to the ground as Laura tried to punch her.
Kaitlin now shook herself out of her stupor as the two 6year olds began to fight. Laura dressed only in a tshirt that extended to her knees, was taller than Anna. The taller girl balled up her tiny fist striking Anna in the face. Anna cried, tears forming in her eyes. Trying to stop Laura she now reached up, yanking hard on Laura's long brown hair. "Okay break it up you two," Kaitlin exclaimed.
Taking both children by the arms, Kaitlin was amazed at how light they both were. Kaitlin would never have believed these two could have been adults as they both now cried. "She started it," Laura whined, wipingbtears from her eyes. "She turned me into a little girl. Just because she wanted to be a kid and go to the park."
"I just wanted to have some fun," Anna moaned. "You were being mean and wouldn't let me have any fun."
Kaitlin could only sigh in annoyance as the two began to bicker once more. "Igh I hate babysitting," she thought. Crouching down she now narrowed her eyes as she glared at Anna. "Okay show me how you did it?"
Anna's eyes grew wide as she saw the anger in Kaitlins face. Something about the look made Anna want to comply like any other child. Pointing towards the floor, Kaitlin turned to see the dice laying on the ground.
Kaitlin approached, curiously looking at the glass dice. "Dice," she asked curiously. "What do dice have to do with any of this?"
"Careful," Laura exclaimed. "The dice are connected to us. If you roll them we'll get even younger!"
Kaitlin simply rolled her eyes as she looked at her grown down friend. "Laura that's the most ridiculous thing I've..."
"Kaitlin Murray the spirit of youth has bonded with you. Each roll of the dice shall return that which you have lost."
The room went silent as the three of them now anxiously gazed at the dice in Kaitlins hand. For better or worse, Kaitlin was now a part of this too.
