After your weird conversation with James, you guys decide its probably a good idea to go check on him to see if he's alright. It's not really like him to not call you back or return your texts like that. You all make your way to James' parents house in Jake's beat up old car. His car is basically held together with duct tape. "I'm surprised this thing still holds together at all" you tease Jake. He laughs it off "It's all I got, alright? Don't make fun." After half an hour or so you finally get to the house. There's a good bit of commotion at the front door when you arrive. You see both of his parents at the front door, and a German Shepherd being shoo'd out of the house by his mother.
"C'mon get out you filthy mutt! When James gets here he's gonna be in so much trouble!" His mother mutters angrily. You've seen her mad before, but she's much worse then you've ever seen her before. You guys get out of the car "Hey Mrs. Sanders, whats up." Chris says pretty casually. Calming down a bit, but still angrily she walks over to you guys "I'll tell you whats up! James brought this dumb dog to the house knowing damn well that we do NOT allow dogs in our house." You somewhat remember his little sister having a terrible pet allergy and his mother not being to fond of dogs in general. She continues her rant "To make it worse, he's nowhere to be seen, just left the house without telling us. Even more, he left his clothes all on the ground with his phone. I don't know what got into him, be he has some explaining to do. Now we're stuck dealing with this dog and his annoying barking." You look over to the dog who gives you puppy dog eyes. "Well we came to get James, so if he comes back tell him to call us." Chris politely says to her. Breaking a bit from her anger, she smiles at all of you and says "Of course Chris" She then points to the dog "I know this is a lot to ask, but can you take this dog with you? We don't want it anywhere near our home." While this is a tall order, the three of you are all pretty fond of dogs so you agree.
You take the dog, who listens surprisingly well to your commands, into the car with you and begin to ride home. The dog is pretty vocal on the way home, barking at all of you and clawing a bit at your feet, almost like he wants to tell you something. You take a quick stop at the pet store to grab a leash and some food, and eventually make your way back home. If this dog doesn't have an owner, you wouldn't be that against keeping him as a pet, and you think your roommates would probably agree.
