While many of Moon Lake’s citizens woke up the next morning thinking about the reveal meeting that had occurred the previous night, Connor Ross found himself thinking about the events that would occur that night.
Tonight, he had a date with Ryan. It wasn’t going to be anything fancy, but then again, Connor didn’t want anything fancy. It was just going to be the two of them going out for dinner, talking and bonding together. Just the thought of spending time with Ryan was enough to make Connor’s heart race, but it got better. If the date went well, then Ryan would transform Connor into a Werewildcat that night, and the two of them would spend the long weekend together.
Just the two of them...alone together…
Connor was brought back to reality by a knock at his door.
“Connor!” Ava’s voice yelled from the other side. “Ryan’s at the door! Are you ready to go?”
“Yeah, I’m ready!” Connor called back. He quickly grabbed his backpack from the side of his bed and opened his door, walking downstairs. After saying goodbye to his mom and dad, he opened the front door and saw Ryan standing on the other side, waiting for him.
“Morning Connor,” he said with a smile that made Connor’s heart race. “How’d you sleep last night?”
“I...I hardly slept at all honestly,” Connor admitted with a blush. “I couldn’t stop thinking about our date tonight.”
Ryan chuckled softly. “Honestly, same here,” he confessed. “I’m really looking forward to spending time with you. It’s been a while since I’ve gone on a date. I’m sorry that it’s not going to be a fancy dinner though.”
“No, don’t be!” Connor exclaimed. “I don’t need a fancy dinner to have a good time. I’ve already told you that the only thing I want out of this date is to spend time with you.”
“Then I think tonight will go pretty well,” Ryan said with a laugh. “And believe me, I have every intention of making tonight a night you’ll remember.”
Connor began to blush furiously, his face turning a deep shade of red. He wondered how serious Ryan was being.
