The egg cracked open with a toddler sized alligator creature emerging from inside it. It was standing on its hind legs looking around.
"What just happened to me, dude? It's like you were eating me and all of a sudden I was in this white thing!"
The little gator starts turning around and fidgeting and looking himself over.
"Ah! Why do I have a tail. Whoa, are these claws? Why am I tiny? What did you do?!"
Jake looked at the little gator and stuttered, "L-l-leon? Is ... is that you?"
"Of course it's me, Jake! Now tell me what did you do?"
Well, that's a relief, Jake thought. He really wasn't forward to explaining to the police that he basically murdered his friend under the influence of some experimental device. Of course, we wasn't exactly looking forward to explaining his Chronivac usage to Leon, either.
"Well, I guess I basically just gave birth to you, and I don't exactly know why. But to tell you the truth, it might have something to do with this program I was using on my computer."
"Program?"
"Yeah... it... it's called the Chronivac. And change things about people and the world."
"... and it can turn me into some kind of gator kid thing?"
"I mean, I guess so. I just sort of set it to random."
"You RANDOMLY started changing the planet?!"
"I didn't really know what it was gonna do. I gave myself a gator tail and then the random setting made me eat you. Now here you are."
Little Leon didn't really know what to say. On the one had, he was pissed that his roommate was so thoughtless with a device that could do this. On the other hand, he probably would have done the same thing, and he kind of wanted to see what this device could do.
