Manti calmly picked up the arm she had just severed from the Demon King and stepped over beside Tensa. Obliv was still held back by Bursin, who feared he might do something foolish. Vix returned Manti's staff to her, which only left Sanci to object.
"To use the arm of a demon? Not to mention, the Demon King?! You can't, Manti, this is heresy!" Sanci's sky-blue eyes opened wide in horror.
"I don't believe in your scriptures, priest," Manti spat as she placed the arm in position. "I am simply doing what needs to be done."
"But--" Sanci tried to rebut.
"Do whatever you have to do! Just keep Tensa alive!" Obliv cut him off fiercely, straining against Bursin's hold.
"Shut up!" Manti roared. "I need to concentrate!" Holding her staff over Tensa's stump, Manti began to chant. Runes began to twine around Tensa's wound and stretch themselves to the Demon King's arm, pulling them together. As the spell began to spread, the limb joined to the stump, and the arm slowly began to reform itself. Sweat dripped down Manti's ruddy face, but she continued to recite stably as the arm took on a shape indistinguishable from the one Tensa had lost. "Tensa!" Obliv finally ran to her side again, Birsin allowing him to break free. "She's alive! Thank you, Manti! Thank you!"
"I didn't do it for you," Manti grunted out, exhausted.
"I wouldn't be so joyful yet, Prince," Sanci glowered, an oddly dark look on his face, an expression none of his companions had seen before. "Do you know what she did? The remains of demons are not to be trifled with. There is no telling what this will do to the girl."
"I don't care, I love her!" Obliv heedlessly asserted, too self-assured to pay attention to the priest. "She is going to be my wife!"
"Your Highness, she should be taken back to the Temple!" Sanci snapped, his irritation showing. "Who knows what could happen with the use of such forbidden magic!"
"Leave your squabbles for later! For now we need to get out of here!" Vix finally spoke up, her triangular cat-like ears twitching in worry.
The group, realizing the danger, hurried out of the Demon King's castle, Obliv carrying Tensa in his arms. She remained unconscious as they made their way to the border of the demon-infested lands, finally joining up with the Royal army. Since Tensa could have no say,
