While summer was now officially started, with the first week in June, what was probably hitting Animalia the most was both the summer temperatures and "Summer Heat", as it's unofficially known to Animalians. While most of the problems were well known to most Animalians, to the newest members it was being somewhat surprising.
For Captain 'Alex', Summer Heat was the biggest surprise to him. Especially since he had been 'picked up' by Animalia's 'Mane Six', as they were known on Animalia's website. Unfortunately for him, someone who happened to be 'in the right place at the right time' had managed to get his reaction to them picking him up. While initially afraid that such an association would be a 'threat' to his masculinity, it was in fact the exact opposite, much to his surprise.

With Coronavirus slowing down enough to lift some travel bans, especially in China, Japan was debating over what it was going to do for the Olympics, which had been rescheduled. While there was some downsizing considered, what wasn't discarded was the addition of Heiya Island to the route that intended to bring the Olympic flame from Brazil to Japan.
Heiya Island, regardless of the decision, was really busy with all the planning and construction of the new wing to the Celestial Palace. Because of the new members of Heiya Island were all girls rescued from organized crime, and totaled at least 170, a new, dormitory-based wing had to be added to the palace, especially since they all viewed Ami as their "beloved mother". But because of an internet rumor that she and her councilors had rescued them from their captors superhero style, despite all claims to the contrary by the Chinese and Japanese government, a manhua inspired by both the rescue and the Okami videogame had been created to attempt to deal with the rumors, with mixed results.

Another thing that was heating up was the matchup between Mr. Hyun and an unwanted suitor for Ling's heart. While the finer details still had to be nailed down, it was already generating a lot of hype on the internet. While a lot of it was on who was going to win or lose, depending on the comments, there were some things that did prove surprisingly true.
As it turned out time and time again, the internet poll on the design for Mr. Hyun's match poster was attracting internet trolls 'like flies to honey', but fortunately there was another saying that 'those who don't know history are doomed to repeat it'. The end result was that the trolls ended up getting trolled, and trolled hard. After that, the trolling on the Animalia website dropped significantly.

Coronavirus was flaring up in some places and dying out in others, but it was not quite over yet.
