It had been about a day since you and Chris made the posts online about your story with the device. Eventually James came back to your house, and after a a few hours of convincing, began to believe your story. All of you were now back home together, even though Jake was now there in the body of a raccoon. It was about mid-day and you decided to check the posts to see if they had gotten any new activity. All of the posts that you checked were devoid of any new engagement, and all hope of finding anyone with any information about that device was seemingly lost. That was until about an hour later you get a notification on your phone. Someone had messaged you on the site. You open the message from a user "9585331225." Although it seemed like a scam or junk mail you decide to open it anyways. Inside was a message "Hello, I am interested in buying this device from you for a sum of three million dollars. Although this may seem like a scam or a trap at first, I want to assure you that this offer is entirely legitimate. I am personally very interested in the device and it's capabilities and am willing to pay a large sum to acquire this device. To prove my interest and authenticity, I am willing to send one hundred thousand dollars to your location just for willing to meet up with me. In addition, once the device is acquired and safely in my possession, I will change your friend back to normal. Message me for further details." Attached to the message was a picture, where someone with a full tuxedo, and a tiger mask to cover their face, was holding open three briefcases which appeared to be full of one hundred dollar bills.
You show this to Chris, who seems understandingly skeptical. "This seems like a trap, we could be killed! Whats stopping them from robbing us?" It is true that this would be a dangerous game, but three million dollars would set you all up for life. "We could at least message him back, we don't even have to meet up with him." You argue. After a lot of back and forth, you message him back.
Eventually you get a reply and set up to pick up the one hundred thousand dollars at a park nearby your home. You arrive on the date and to your surprise there is a briefcase sitting where the guy said it would be. You take it home and are astounded by the amount of money in it. The guy wasn't lying, this was real money, a hundred thousand worth. You check for any bugs or hidden traps and throw out the briefcase for good measure. After some more debating, Chris and James seem convinced enough and you set up a meeting place. The instructions were to only bring the 4 of you, and to bring the device. You arrive at the site with Chris, Jake, and James. You meet at the same location that you picked up the one hundred thousand dollars. At the time that you set up there seems to be nobody around. "I think we're getting scammed" James says, "We should just go." Right as James says this, three figures appear with thick briefcases. Each wearing a different mask. One a tiger, one a bear, and one was just a a plain white mask. As they finally approach you they open the briefcases to show you the money, then close them and toss them by your feet. "Alright, give us the device."
