Anna wants a baby to take care of. She rolls a single die. It’s a six.
"Seven years you have walked this Earth. Now this number is but one. Be warned you have no more years left to regain.” Anna smiles as she watches Laura shrink yet again. Swimming in her clothes, Laura is now sucking her thumb in her sleep.
“We can’t have you dressed just like that,” Anna says softly. She finds a towel, wraps it around Laura as a makeshift diaper, and decides to head to the store. After all, Laura doesn’t have anything necessary to take care of a baby.
They arrive at a 24-hour store and Anna makes a beeline for the childcare section. She’s caught up in the excitement of getting things for a baby and tosses almost everything she likes into the cart. The price tag at the end is high, but Anna doesn’t care. The cashier cooing over Laura and referring to her as Anna’s daughter dispels any negative emotions Anna has.
Back at the car, Anna removes the towel diaper to discover Laura wet herself. She giggles as she cleans Laura and puts her into a fresh diaper, then dresses her in an adorable baby onesie. Laura sleeps through the change, being buckled into a car seat, and the drive back to her house. In fact, she’s still asleep when Anna has unloaded everything and is ready for bed.
“Well, the bed’s too big for you all alone,” Anna whispers to the sleeping baby Laura. She gets into Laura’s bed with her, holding Laura tightly. “Good night, little baby.” Snuggling Laura, Anna falls asleep quickly
