"Don't be afraid dear why dont you sit here." Janet then led her daughter to a nearby couch. "Please lass you mustn't move o' else it will be hard ta finish the portrait." Janet's voice quickly changed morphing into a stereotypical irish accent. "Now, don t'cha worry one bit 'bout the house work of dinner, Madame. I'm sure your well trained staff has a good handle on things!
Megan watched clutched with fear as her mother started gathering a dusty canvas, easley, and paintbrushes from the nearby floor. Janet then made her way to an ancient boudoir and retrieved some paints. She returned to the canvas a quickly signed her name in bluebonnet the back. From her seat Megan could name out the name Chloe o'Malley.
"Mom, please your scaring me," she quietly mumbled.
"Did you just call me Mum?" Chloe responded. "I'm honored to be sure me lady. But you shouldn't be afraid o' me paintin'. I'll be sure to paint you as extravagently as one in your standing deserves. Why, a stately woman such as yourself could running an estate such as this! You deserve the recognition." She then began to paint upon the canvas. "Now hold yourself still. Just like that."
Megan was entirely too confused at this point. From behind the deviding wall she could her her brother, "Helga," messing with pots and pans. Just to her left she could see "Francesca," her father, sweeping the hallway. While her portrait was being painted by her mother "Chloe" a renown artist. Something wasn't quite to her liking but Megan was unsure of what exactly.
If only she could put her finger on it.
