Jeff clenched his fists and felt tears welling up in his eyes.
Frustration and fear clouded his mind and he felt like he wanted to scream.
So much had happened in such a short time. He had gone from being a completely ordinary teenage boy to the victim of an involuntary sexual reassignment surgery all within a week. And it was all the fault of some impossible magical shop that seemed to disappear just as suddenly as it had arrived.
It was all too much. His entire body began to tremble. Whether it was fear or rage, Jeff wasn't sure.
Just as his stress was about to reach its peak, a calmer, more rational part of his brain took over.
"Wait." it seemed to say, "Calm down. There's no use in giving in to panic when you could instead be thinking about how to progress from here."
It wasn't the end of the world and his life wasn't over yet. Jeff still had options ahead of him and he just needed to calmly think them through.
First, the magic shop. Yes, it had vanished some time between his purchase of the stone and his return from the hospital, but it was still his biggest chance of getting out of this situation. If Jeff had found the shop, then surely others had also found it. Perhaps there were even others like Jeff who had made unwise purchases and become the victims of cursed objects.
He could easily ask around the town and online and try to find out more.
It's not like there was even a rush or a time limit. He wasn't going to become MORE cursed.
And what would his next option be if he found nothing? Well, there was still no reason to give up in that case. Even if his situation seemed impossible to fix, if you had asked him a week ago he would have believed that the magic shop existing in the first place was impossible. Now he knew that magic was real, nothing seemed entirely out of the realm of possibility.
Finally, what would he do if he truly was stuck? He dreaded to think about it, but he supposed that he could eventually learn to live with his mistake.
Loss of a body part is something that people all around the world and throughout history have experienced, and they usually carry on with their lives. The loss of his male genitalia didn't even compare to some of the losses that other people had gone through.
If worst came to worst, he could eventually learn to live with his new pussy. In the grand scheme of things, would it truly be the worst thing imaginable? He could still probably manage to achieve a perfectly decent life, even if it wasn't ideal.
Plus, his family in this newly altered reality seemed completely supportive of his "decision" and life was carrying on as normal.
Yes, he could manage. Obviously he'd prefer to have his changes reversed, but now he was sure that he could get through this no matter what.
Now Jeff was feeling a lot calmer and he decided that the best way to move forward in the short-term would be to just relax and progress through his day as normal. For today, at least, he would occupy his mind with his usual distractions and hobbies. There was no need to dedicate 100% of his time and brainpower to the reconfigured anatomy between his legs.
