I hear chirping from above me, as I see birds chirping from the power lines above. I looked at the device and back at the birds. “Let’s try it I suppose.” You point the device up at the bird and hit the trigger. All the sudden a holographic grid appeared and engulfed the bird in blue light. A bright blue line ran across it slowly. I finally realized this was a scanner of some sort. The birds more than likely got spooked by the light and flew off.
Looking down at the device, I saw the big screen display the bird in front of me. “That’s actually quite accurate!” I was surprised at the detail of the device. However I couldn’t really do anything but look at the high quality visual of the bird. Something didn’t seem right. You’d think you would get information of objects or creatures if you scanned them, but nothing seemed to show. All it did was let me highlight parts of the bird.
I was about to throw the device away until a third option showed up. “Ready” was displayed on the big screen. What did that even mean? Little did I know what I found out when I hit that button.
