While Coronavirus was still the biggest thing, the busting of the largest slave trafficking ring in Asia, as well as the number of girls that had been rescued was enough to gain international attention, if only as the second-most important thing that happened. Because of this, there were some, credible, news sources covering the story, filtered as needed by the PR-MD office of Heiya Island.

While the girls who had tested positive for Coronavirus would be priority "conversions" to see how the Animalia Virus would affect said victims, because creation of a treatment was well underway, the Animalia Virus wasn't going to be offered as an alternative, to the relief of some and the disappointment of others.

As part of the investigation and collection of evidence, the girls were being tested for not only Coronavirus, but also illicit substances. Partly this was to investigate the brainwashing abilities of the slave ring. There was the discovery of several artistic hookahs, some with as many as six or seven smoking hoses, as well as the fact that some of the girls had tested positive for cocaine and heroin, which all together showed that drugs were at least partly involved in the brainwashing techniques.

Because of the 170 girls rescued, a new wing to house all of them had to be built. While this was on the "architect's table" for a while, the number of girls recovered having been officially increased from 100 to 170. While the Chinese and Japanese governments did their best to let everyone know what really happened, without any propaganda, it would seem that the internet rumor that had claimed that it was Ami and her councilors who had taken them down using (sexy) martial arts was here to stay. But fortunately, Dr. Jones was able to ease some of Ami's headache, if not relieve it completely.
"I shouldn't be too worried about it." he had said, "If real life was like movies, television, and/or video games, we wouldn't have them. Of course that would also mean that guys would be doing ungentlemanly things to their favorite female characters as well."
"Very reassuring." responded Ami, who wasn't all that reassured.

Of course, there was also the problem of security, both for the girls and for the island in general. But there was one incident that was both hilarious, and also a surprisingly simple solution for the problem at hand.
One man, who seemingly made a living as a 'living statue' had decided to do a similar thing at Heiya Island, and was inspired by the Terra Cotta Army. He had dressed himself in brigandine armor loaned to him by the Heiya Island Armory, covered himself in temporary grey paint, and froze in place as a statue. While there were those who donated money and took photos for social media, there was one thing that caught the attention of one of the news anchors.
One girl had gone up to the man and started poking him, and the man wasn't to happy about it. He briefly broke his frozen pose to slap her across the face before reassuming his frozen pose, much to the amusement of the onlookers.
While it was a short term solution to have 'living statues' dressed as members of the Terra Cotta Army, it wouldn't be enough, but it was enough of a solution to help formulate a long term plan.

All together, the girls rescued by the combined Chinese and Japanese did have at least a temporary home on Heiya Island while the authorities did their best to find their next of kin. But it was clear that there would be at least 100 girls that would become permanent residents of Heiya Island, and the way they all viewed Ami as their "mother" seemed to validate this belief, so the new wing to the palace was stuck with the internet name Hall of a Thousand Pretty Girls.
