FRIDAY (AM)
The pair then gets into their car and begins their drive into town, hoping that one of the ticketing agencies would be able to point them in the right direction. Though time after time they fail to find anything, either the business has no record of the event or can't disclose the information, no matter how much they begged.
Finally they pull up at a small wooden vendor on the side of the street and explain their eagerness to track them down once again. The store was run by an elderly man, though he seemed genuinely interested to help.
"Just let me have a look..." The man said as he browsed through a selection of fliers. "Ah, is this the one?" He says, slowly pulling out a flier and showing it to them.
"YES!" They both exclaim in glee.
"Well... According to this flier, the fair is going to be in a town north of here in about 2 days. Place called... Simpsonville. Which is about a 2 day drive interestingly enough. If you left today you'd make in time for the opening show." He stuttered.
They both looked at one another, knowing what the other was thinking. 2 whole days. That was an awful lot of time, especially considering their predicament. Who knew what 2 days would do to them. But they had no other choice.
"Thank you sir, seriously. That was a massive help." Lauren said.
"Oh no trouble missy. Happy to have helped. You kids have a good day now!" He said as they turned around, heading back to their car.
"You too!" They called behind them. They headed back to their house and immediately packed their bags, not wanting to waste a single second as they left for the open road. It was a long drive, one on which they took turns on as they made idle talk while in their seats.
