“So does it make sense now?” You ask them, the elephant you used to call Emily looked down at you. As does your giant friend Niko, still only in his underwear.
“Look. I only did this because I wanted to test out the power, how far it could go. I mean earlier today I made Skylar naked on the street. Nobody remembers, because I made them forget!”
“What the hell does that have to do with you turning us into freaks!?” Niko yells, shaking what’s left of the building with his voice.
“I wish everyone except me, Emily the Elephant and Niko the Giant forgets everything I did and we are back to just before I made that wish.”
You watch as the world around you begins to reverse. Emily shrinks back down to a human, Niko shrinks and the Coffee Shop fixes itself. People stop looking and you are all back at your table.
“I can talk again,” Emily says, happily,
“Okay... maybe I forgive you,” Niko says, “I mean... that was an experience that I doubt anyone has ever experienced before. Being a giant and all.”
“And being an Elephant, dude you should try it!” Emily says to Niko, “it’s a strange feeling to grow, have you tried it?” Emily looks back at you as she asks the question.
“Well... no I haven’t,” you say,
“Then you have to. Give us whatever power you have and we’ll do it for you,”
“The ring?” You say,
“So it’s the ring. Seriously. We promise we’ll give it back. We trust you that you won’t do that again without warning and besides. It would be unfair if you got to choose your own change,”
“I guess... fine, but I want it back right after. I wish the ring can come off my finger,” you say, you slip the ring off and hand it to Emily and Niko. They look at you and talk to each other. You can’t make any of it out.
They look back, “you ready?” They say,
“Ready as I’ll ever be,” you say,
Emily holds the ring, “I wish...”
