Damon knew exactly what his first wish had to be. The main reason he was so upset right now--the one occurrence he wanted to reverse more than anything else--was his breakup with Monica.
"Oh, genie, please, you have to get her back for me. I wish Monica Vespero would love me!"
"Master, with all due respect, I already told you I can't make anyone fall in love."
"I know, but surely there's something you can do! We've been together for four years and now I find out she's dumping me for this other guy Thomas. I'd give anything for her to want me back into her life again."
"Anything?"
"Anything! You can have this whole house if I can have Monica."
"Very well. Tell me about Miss Vespero then. What does she want in a relationship. What kinds of things does she love?"
Damon thought long and hard, grateful that the genie was going to help him win her back from Thomas (or so he thought). He'd already been with her for four years, so the question wasn't too difficult.
"Well, she likes long walks on the beach... scary movies... oh, heavy metal, she loves heavy metal! She especially likes those 20-year-old goth bands with the long frizzy hair. She passionately loves tall men with big muscles and thick Texas accents (as I sadly found out when she went with Thomas instead of me). She loves dogs (hates cats); she has always wanted a dalmatian. ... And she also loves kinky escapades in the bedroom--with very special implements if you know what I mean." His eyes gleamed as he talked about her. Then they burned with envy. "I'm sure there's more, but I guess you'd have to ask Thomas," he added venomously.
The genie grinned, knowing he had given her several ways of granting his wish without breaking the rules.
