Alice Springer was a divorced single mother who had 3 children to look after. The youngest, Joey was 5, then Pete who was 10 and Kylie who was 13.
The Springers had won a family trip to Australia and were now at Ayer's Rock. Leaving her kids back at the hotel, Alice decided to go for a walk around the rock.
3 quarters of the way round her feet got sore, but she found a cave with a small pool of water. She took her shoes and socks off and dipped her feet in the cool pool.
"HOW DARE YOU!" cried the aboriginal witch-doctor who had just came into the cave. "That is a sacred pool! It must remain untouched by the hands of man!". "Well it's not," replied Alice. "It's touched by the feet of woman."
The witch doctor became more angry so Alice ran out of the the cave without her shoes and ran, half hopping on the hot sands.
"By the time the sun rises tomorrow, you will be hopping a lot more!" cursed the witch doctor
