"Man, look at the stuff on this menu!" Max exclaimed as he browsed the Stuffin' Snacks offerings, "Pancakes, sandwiches, and drinks that all look super cute! What're you getting?"
"I dunno," Maya rested her cheek on her hand as she read her menu, "They all look palatable. They even have pasta dishes. That's a little surprising. Suppose I order the Slurping Spaghetti. It says here they recommend it with grape juice. No wine though? Guess no one drinks alcohol in this world. I'll get that."
"I'm going for the Bodacious Burger," Max decided, "That thing looks like it's as big as my head, plus it comes with french fries. I could use a big meal. I'm starving!" Maya rolled her eyes at that, and when their waiter came to take their orders, she asked how long the wait time would be for the food.
"Oh, not too long," the waiter assured them, "Just be patient and it'll be here before you know it! If it's not out in 15 minutes, just let us know."
With that, the two high school students waited for their food. As they did, they drank in the surrounding cutesy atmosphere of the dining establishment. The air smelled absolutely scrumptious and made them feel hungrier. A classy red color seemed to be the theme of the decorations, but everything looked like it was designed by fancy pants preschoolers kinda. There were all kinds of other people dining at the restaurant as well, and they were all having adorable and inconsequential conversations. Everyone was so short that their feet dangle above the ground.
"Do you suppose this place doesn't really have much to it?" Maya asked Max.
"Maybe," Max answered, "I mean, this reality is meant to be cute and happy and not a whole lot else. Think we could make this place into something else later? I mean, I'm cool with all the cute stuff, but I miss being able to say naughty words and all of that. A guy can't live on nothing but sugar."
"Amen to that, buddy," Maya concurred. They waited for a couple of more minutes until their food arrived, and even the food was as cute as can be! Max's burger and fries were bulbous and sizzling, and actually was a little bit bigger than his head! Maya's plate of spaghetti was piled high and was garnished with little basil leaves. To their new cutesy bodies, it looked one million percent irresistible! They tucked into their meal right away! It tasted amazing! It was the best thing they had ever eaten in their entire lives.
"You know what? Let's stay in cute world forever," Max announced around his burger, "If the food is this good, it's worth the shallowness!"
Maya slurped up a mouthful of noodles, nodding enthusiastically. "Oh absolutely! This stuff is so totally worth the sappy saccharine nonsense this place is made of!" They enjoyed their food down to the last bites, just in time for their waiter to return with the bill. "Woo hoo! Tasty, AND it's cheap! Max, I think we just found the best universe to live in! Our meal here only set us back $10! I mean WHAT?!"
"Yes please!" Max cheered as he pulled out a five dollar bill that had a cute version of Abraham Lincoln printed on it.
