Caleb Sanchez sat in his room. One week ago, he had met a girl and things seemed to be looking up for him. Her name was Sarah, she lived in Caleb's neighbourhood and seemed to be taking in interest in him, which he thought was all in your head, until she approached him. She was beautiful, she could've been a model as she was drop-dead gorgeous. As a pretty scrawny boy, of average height, average intellect, and average personality, Caleb didn't know how he managed to get her. He was too thin and short to be considered a jock, yet too average in school to be grouped with the nerds, and he had no unique interests that defined him. Caleb was slightly suspicious though. As perfect as Sarah seemingly was, there was something weird about her. She was very vengeful, and was obsessive over every person she dated. Caleb wasn't the first, not by a mile. Caleb knew that Sarah had had at least six boyfriends before him, all living in the same neighbourhood. It was said that when someone would break up with Sarah, they would soon disappear, a new person moving into their house. Caleb had noticed this, but never paid any attention. The weirdest part however, was that there were never any moving trucks or anything of the sort. One day everything would be normal, and the next day, a new family would be there with new cars in the driveway, new yard decorations, and the people that visited the new families saw that they even had new furniture inside. Nothing ever happened, and yet everything changed. It was almost as if the new families were the old families transformed, but that was just a silly theory. All that mattered was that Caleb had a new girlfriend who loved him as much as he loved her, and he would never do anything to harm her.

Sarah knocked on her new boyfriends door. This would be the one. This would be the one that she finally kept. This boyfriend would never leave her. And if he did... well, she knew what to do. Sarah smiled as her boyfriend opened up the door. Her face lit up when she saw a bouquet of flowers in his hand. He had wanted to go to the mall, or the park, or even the beach for a memorable second date, but she insisted that this time they have their date in his house. She wanted to see what his room was like, see how he normally lived, and get to know his family. When she walked in, she saw a little boy, about 4 years old toddling around the hall.
"Hi!"
Emily called out to the little boy, presumably Caleb's brother, but he ran down the hall calling for his mother. Upon walking further in, she saw a man, Caleb's father, watching a football game on the TV, a woman playing with the little boy Sarah had seen earlier, and a sullen looking teenage girl sitting on the couch. Practically glaring at her. Even though the girl was obviously Caleb's sister, Sarah couldn't help but feel a pang of jealousy towards her. She wasn't as beautiful, or as bubbly and friendly, but she was a goth that was quite good-looking in her own way. Sarah immediately didn't like her, but she was Caleb's sister and Sarah was determined to not hate her as much as she did her previous boyfriend's sister. Sarah walked around Caleb's house. An average boy, with an average family, in an average house. Just the way Sarah liked it. As Caleb was busy taking care of his brother and talking to his mother about something, Sarah slipped into Caleb's room. She looked around and soon found...
