Kelly walked into her Child Development class, hopeful. Child Development was a class that she’d been struggling with for a while, but maybe now that she was a child, it would be easier for her to pass. The teacher looked over at her.
“Why are you late?” asked Miss Smith.
“I had to get changed,” Kelly said quietly. Miss Smith frowned.
“You should have waited until you came to class for your change, Kelly. Then one of your classmates could have gotten that experience.” Seeing Kelly’s blank look, Miss Smith sighed. “You’re in this class so that your classmates get hands-on experience with a real toddler, you know that. And you also know that your grade relies on your cooperation.”
“…Sorry,” Kelly mumbled. Miss Smith shook her head.
“It’s fine. Just try to use your diaper sometime during class, okay?” she said. Kelly nodded. Miss Smith walked over, picked her up, and placed her in another playpen, but this one was next to the teacher’s desk at the front of the classroom. Everyone would be able to see her. Which made sense, given that she was apparently used to hammer home lessons.
Kelly turned to look at the board, wanting to prepare herself for whatever was going to happen to her. When she saw what the lesson today would be, she wet herself in horror.
