A girl by the name of Sarah walked into the shop. She was bundled up in a blue winter jacket, the hood pulled down, with snowflakes dotting her hair.
"H-hello?" She called out, not sure what to expect. The small shop was something of a local legend for the town. Nobody knew much about it, and it never seemed to get much business, but it had been open for as long as anyone could remember.
"Ah, yes, a new customer!" The Old Man called out, emerging from seemingly nowhere.
Sarah jumped, startled at the Old Man's sudden appearance. "I-I'm looking for a game." She started. "An rpg that I could play with some friends. Something a bit more adult-oriented."
"I have just the thing!" The Old Man replied, walking over to a shelf lined with various board games and the like. He pulled out a box, on it read 'Game of Change: RPG Edition 3.0.' "It's a lot like Dungeons and Dragons, but the stories you'll find will change your life forever."
"Okay." Sarah replied, hesitation in her voice. "How much?"
"Well, seeing as you're my first customer in a while, I'll give you a discount. Only 5 dollars." The Old Man replied.
Sarah couldn't remember anything else about the encounter as she walked into her dorm. She called her friends, who met her at the dorm. There were five of them in total, Sarah included. All of them were girls, seeing as the dorm was girls-only.
"I can't believe you actually went to that creepy place." A girl by the name of Lily spoke up.
"Yeah, that's totally insane." A girl named Juniper added.
After reading through the rules and booklets, the girls were ready to create their characters. For some reason, the game had advised them to use their real names during character creation.
"Hey," a girl who simply went by Kay spoke up. "Maybe we should pick a theme for our characters."
