Jess keeps to quiet streets until she reaches her apartment and puts in the doorcode. Reaching the handle is difficult, but she manages it and enters. The first thing she does is strip off the dress and diaper and activate the release located in her belly button.
She's surprised at how painful removing the suit is. As the synthetic skin comes off, it seems to take patches of real skin with it. After a while, she gets the last bit off and finds herself back to normal save for patches of raw skin.
She draws a herbal bath and soaks to ease the pain while she looks up more information on the biosuits to figure out why it was so horrible to remove. She drops her phone in the bath and let's out a small curse when she realizes that her experience matches the removal of a permanent suit before it's fully attached.
"Thank god I went to the wrong wedding. If I had been at Jack's I'd have gone to the reception and might have fallen asleep and not woken up until the suit was stuck. Assuming mom doesn't kill me for skipping, I'm going to demand a full refund and then some. How can a mixup like that even happen?"
