When Jess finishes the pudding, Rachel wipes her face clean and keeps her on her lap. After a few minutes, Jess feels her eyelids begin to droop. She quickly snaps her eyes open. It wouldn’t be good if she fell asleep at the reception like the toddler she currently is. However, she can only resist for so long. Very quickly, Jess nods off in Rachel’s arms.
Jack grins at the sight of his toddler-aged sister asleep in his wife’s arms. Rachel thinks the whole thing is adorable. Jack thinks it’s embarrassing for Jess.
With Jess asleep, holding her and doing things is difficult, so Jack takes Jess from Rachel and brings her back to Mom. Mom takes one look at the sleeping Jess and goes to the car. She had watched a young nephew not long ago, and still had the carrier and car seat from it. Mom returns with a baby carrier. Jess is buckled into it.
Jess doesn’t wake up even when she wets and messes herself, or during the very public diaper change. Mom doesn’t have any diapers to change Jess into, so she asks a guest who has a baby.
