Emile blinked a couple times, trying to clear the fuzziness from his vision. Note to self—maybe hold the camera a little further away than two inches from your face when taking a photo, he thought wryly. As his vision cleared he realized they were definitely no longer in the house, but rather in a fancy restaurant of some sort. Glancing down at himself, Emile saw he was wearing a suit and tie, and fidgeted with the collar slightly.
“Yo, Emile. Put the camera down for now dude, the other tables are giving us funny looks.” Emile glanced over to see his friend Ollie giving him a expectant look, subtlety nodding at the other tables around them, some of the older patrons at which were giving them dirty looks.
With a sheepish smile, Emile puts the camera down on the table and turns his attention to the other two people sitting at their table. His date Paula smiled patiently at him, brushing her long blonde hair out of her face. “Boys and their toys.” She said with a laugh. Ollie’s girlfriend Rebecca rolled her eyes. “Don’t I know it.” She replied.
Ollie smiled charmingly as he reached across the table and grasped one of Rebecca’s hands. “Those toys are what paid for tonight babe. And may I say, you two just look....divine in those dresses.”
“I second the motion.” Emile added, lifting his wine glass in salute. The girls giggled as Ollie joined in his toast. Rebecca certainly filled out her short black dress perfectly, the color contrast only making her curly red hair stand out more, while Paula’s silver-blue dress fit her like a glove.
A few more hours went by, during which all involved drank quite a bit more wine. It was Rebecca who suggested they should take a few pictures before they left, to preserve the memories of the night.
