A deep breath and Ann stood very still her thoughts trying not to alert Circe's spirit while still planning a childlike break from true evil.
A long minute passed and Circe's spirit was getting bored waiting for Anna to choose her best way of being defamed.
"A bird, an Eagle, let me fly high in the sky!" said Anna.
No sooner said than sprouting pinfeathers poked out her skin. More and more the feathers jutted out of her as Anna's entire bone structure changed. Her nose turned hard into a hooked beek. It was a real terror to her but she was strong willed for a eight year old girl.
Spreading her wings the mature eagle took to the skies. Soring the brillant blue sky above her house she looked down and smiled, if only to herself.
Floating along on currents of air even Circe's evil spirit was enjoying the calm yet exciting views from way up high.
An easy turn to the west had Anna flying over Lake Chantice. Her Eagle's eye caught sight of a tasty treat, a lake Salmon swimming near the surface.
A couple of easy spiral circles and an Eagle intent on a kill and meal swoops from the skies for its prey.
Circe's spirit screams from the thrill as Anna swoops low as if ready and willing to grasp the Salmon by her taloned claws.
Bearing down to the stop where she had seen the fish the Eagle reached forward her taloned feet ready to grasp the fish. It was at that intense moment Anna asked to be herself once more.
Almost in an instant she was herself now tumbling through the air, splashing threw the waves. Her sudden idea to change back at that moment had Circe off her guard. The ring was mixed within the wing's feathers and as Anna changed back so suddenly it had no place to go but fell off into the lake.
Splashing about the chilly waters Anna saw the ring was not on her hand any longer. A laugh of pure joy from Anna and she began to swim for a nearby shore.
Meanwhile down in the depths of the lake Circe her spirit screaming was settling into the mud and mire like a piece of fishy crap.
Once on shore Anna was again herself and free of Circe's lusty evil thoughts. As she headed for home it was a pleased and happy young girl that saw life worth more than just through beastly eyes.
