Derrick quickly looked around to see if there was anyone listening, before leaning in close to whisper. "Can you keep a secret?"he asked to which Jen nodded.
"The thing is this is the fourth time I've regressed myself back to three years old, which I do when I turn six. Anyway turns out that if you regress yourself multiple times there's a one in ten chance that your ageling process will be stopped permanently, leaving you stuck at whatever age you were regressed to."
Jen's jaw dropped in horror at what she just heard, "Are you saying that you're going to be three years old forever?"
"Yep. And to think I thought I was lucky before winning the lottery, now I get to stay a baby indefinitely" Derrick giggled excitedly in joy at his revelation.
"How can you be happy about this. Don't you realize that you'll never be able to grow back up?" Jen said shocked by the other toddler's reaction and acceptance.
"So what's great about being an adult, you have so many responsibilities. You gotta go to work all day and pay bills. Being a baby is alot more simpler in that you don't have to worry about nothing. You basically get to play all day long, take naps and people cater to your every whim because you're so cute and adorable." Derrick then flashed a wide grin, "But the best part about being a baby is getting to wearing diaper and being able to go to the bathroom whenever you want. In fact while we've been talking I made peepee and you didn't even notice." Jen looked down at the boy's padding and saw that the front of his diaper was tinted yellow and swollen. "Aww it feels good to be able to just let go" he smiled as wriggled his bottom, releasing a few squishes from the damp garment.
"But what about money, your fortune can't last forever like you" she pointed out, attempting to poke holes in Derrick's plan.
"Oh I forgot to tell you that ReGenesis offered me a deal. So long as I keep quiet about my condition they've agreed to fund my care. They also agree to provide me with an endless supply of excellent caretakers and change my records every several years to hide my identity. Trust me when I say everything has been taken care of" Derrick smugly grinned at having it all figured out, crossing his arms.
However a moment later an uncomfortable look crossed the boy's face, Derrick beginning to fidget a little in place.
"Something wrong?" Jen asked in concern.
"Nah. I just gotta make poopoo real quick" Derrick replied before getting to his feet
Squatting down he grunted as pushed, a couple of bulges appearing as the seat of his diaper sagged. Finishing with a sigh Derrick went back to playing with his toys, kneeling on his hands to avoid sitting down on his full bottom. Meanwhile Jen was in awe of how easily Derrick pooped himself, doing so almost effortlessly and without a hint of shame.
Before she could ask any more questions a woman approached the playpen.
"I saw that Derrick. That diaper of yours needs changing doesn't it" the woman who had to be Derrick's mom said with a knowing smile. He merely smiled back at his mother who wasted no time picking him up. Instead of carrying the toddler to the changing table she laid Derrick down on his back, intending to change his dirty diaper right there in the playpen. She was in the process of undoing the tapes when Jen was suddenly picked up from behind and lifted out of the playpen by Gideon.
"Alright Jen, time to go back home" he said holding her in his arms.
Looking back at Derrick she saw the little boy wave goodbye to her, his diaper lying opening revealing a pair of brown solid. Despite having his poop on display Derrick was relaxed and content, as if he didn't have a care in the world even as the soiled garment was pulled out from under him. He actually grew happier as his mom lifted his legs and started to clean his butt with baby wipes. Jen casually waved back as Gideon carried her away.
On the way home Jen told Gideon about Derrick while keeping her promise and leaving out the part about his permanent regression and deal with ReGenesis. She finished by saying that she could see her and Derrick being friends.
The next day Jen had to go to her monthly physical by the doctor provided to her from ReGenesis. After conducting the usually series of tests, checking her height and weight and taking a blood and DNA sample there was nothing left to do but wait for the results. Jen sat on the edge of the examination table in nothing but her diaper while Gideon sat in a nearby chair.
