A want to be Actress

added by Anonymous 3 years ago O

Emily Anderson had dreamed of becoming a name in Hollywood since she was a little girl, she had convinced her parents to pay for acting classes since she was a kid. She even had a few roles in commercials when she was a kid and into her early teenage years. She knew she would be the next big star if she could get to where movie magic was made. She needed to get to California and most of all Hollywood. So she saved every penny she could from her part time job and her small roles she still got from time to time. Her biggest role was as an extra in a big movie where she actually had a line, that line was asking the stars if they wanted coffee while she played the waitress but she still had a line in a big Hollywood movie.
She had to pay her own way and finally at 23, with everything arranged she was on a flight to Hollywood and her dream life was about to begin. She had graduated top in her class from Drama school, held every staring female role in every performance she had been in since she was 7 and now she was standing on a beach missing a shoe with some small cuts on her body. Behind her sat the remains of the airplane which was supposed to take her to her dream life.
“Is everyone ok?” yelled the captain as Emily looked around at all the people, like her some had missing shoes, and a few had cuts. The worse injuries seamed to be a man who had twisted his ankle in the surf and was holding it. Some people where crying, more people where raising their cell phones in the air trying to get a bar. Emily reached into her pocket to get her phone to find it gone, likely lost in the surf.
“Damn.” Cursed Emily as she looked around at the lush jungle with three mountains in the distance. “Are we on Hawaii or something?”
“If we were someone would have spotted the plane going down.” said a women beside her. “Maybe one of those tiny islands in the middle of the ocean.”
“Either way, a plan goes down someone will find us.” Stated a man
“LISTEN EVERYONE REMAIN CALM.” Yelled the captain’s voice as everyone finally looked at him. “We may be stuck here for a while…”
“WHAT DO YOU MEAN A WHILE!” yelled a woman’s voice in the crowd.
“Madam…we radioed our position while we where going down, search and rescue knows where we are but to get out to us will take a day or two, unless you see a landing strip on this island which I don’t.” countered the pilot which shut the women up. “So that means a ship will have to be sent, ships do not move as fast as plans so unless we want to sleep on a beach we all need to work together to gather supplies like firewood and items to build some shelters.”
“This sucks.” stated Emily as the captain and the crew began to split the people up, those who had young kids and the elderly would be staying on the beach while the others either headed into the jungle to get wood or find food. Others would move down the shoreline to see if they could find anything while a small but brave few would go into the surf to try to get stuff from the cargo hold plane which was half sunk in the water and to gather some of the items which where still floating in the surf.
Emily didn’t want to do anything more then to sit and wait to rescue, but it didn’t look like that would happen as a crew member came up to assign her a job.
