Jeff had just selected the toy options and started looking through the options , recalling seing Toy Story recently, when his best friend Marc came in.
“Hey jeff, what are you doing ? We were supposed to meet this afternoon.”
“Oh yeah that’s true. Sorry man I got this new device with todays mail and it kinda took all my focus.”
“What are you talking about ? What could be more important than planning how we’re gonna sneak on Melody’s slumber party to check on all those girls ?”
“That software is supposed to change things. Like shapeshifting and all. Let me show you”.
Jeff initiated a new transformation targeted on Marc and selected the basic GI Joe preset. The second boy was looking at the screen when Jeff hit save.
“What are you talki…”
He couldn’t finish his sentence. Within a few seconds, Marc shrank, and turned to plastic as his clothes were changing. When it all stopped, Jeff saw a toy soldier where his friend had been.
Jeff picked the toy and looked at it.
“Marc are you in here ?”
The plastic toy did not answered. After inspecting it, Jeff put it on his bed and came back to the Chronivac. He selected the revert transformation option and quickly Marc reappeared on the bed.
“Man that’s insane. It was so strange ! I could hear and see you but I couldn’t talk or move. That felt like a prison… “
“I think it’s because I selected a default package. I see on advanced options that you can allow the subject to move or communicate… you can even alter reality so any change seems normal !”
“Jeff”
“What ?”
“Don’t you see ?”
“See what ?”
“That’s the perfect way to sneak into the slumber party ! We can change ourselves in whoever or whatever we want !”
“Hmm that’s seems like a good plan. What do you have in mind ?”
Marc joined Jeff in front of the computer and looked through various options. He seemed to be thinking to the most appropriate disguise.
“I know !”
As Jeff moved aside to let him access the keyboard, Marc selected the options. Before Jeff could actually see what he his friend had planned, he clicked the save button.
“Eh what did you do ?”
“You’ll see” Marc answered with a grin.
