Suddenly Jesse's cramps disappeared and she felt much better. She saw her mother, female again, at the door to the bathroom. "Are you better, honey?" she asked. "I aged you by ten days, so if you want to stay a girl for a while we'll have to deal with this later, when we're better prepared." Jesse and her mom hugged.
"Thanks Mom. Why did you turn back?"
"It just seemed better to be female to help you now, honey. I want to go back to being a man later, but I'm going to wait until your sister comes home--so she doesn't see a houseful of strangers."
