“…in an hour.” Oliver’s eyes widen. In an hour, parents will be coming to pick up their kids, and Oliver will be the only one who doesn’t get picked up. The police will definitely be called.
Determined to not wind up at the police station, Oliver decides to climb over the side of the crib. He pops his pacifier into his mouth preemptively, hoping to stave off any crying when he falls. After working up the courage for a few moments, Oliver climbs over the side of the crib.
The fall hurts less than he expected, but still brings tears to his eyes. The pacifier was a good idea. He sucks on the pacifier for much needed comfort. Once calmed down, Oliver gets to his feet. He surveys his surroundings, trying to figure out how to best leave without being spotted and put back in a crib.
