“…in the morning.” Oliver sighs in relief. He has plenty of time to figure out an escape plan. Right now, he’s tired, though, so he decides that the escape plan can wait until after he’s well-rested.
Oliver is woken up by the light being turned on in the nursery. The man from before comes to check on him.
“Someone needs a change,” the man says in a goofy voice, tickling Oliver’s stomach. Oliver giggles without meaning to. “All right, little man, let’s get you in a fresh diapy!” The man carries Oliver over to a changing table, where he is changed into a clean diaper and put into his clothes from earlier. Oliver stifles a sigh of relief that the ring is still attached to his shirt.
Now that nap time is over, the babies are given bottles of milk and set down in front of a young woman, who reads them stories as they drink. The milk goes through Oliver quickly. By the time the stories are over, he’s wet his diaper again.
“You just like making dirty diapies, don’t you?” asks the man that has apparently become Oliver’s personal helper. He brings Oliver back to the changing table. “Buddy, think you could tell me your name?” the man asks as he removes yet another dirty diaper from Oliver.
“Owwy,” Oliver squeaks.
“Olly. I’m Rick,” the man says, wiping Oliver down. “You’re so cooperative during changes, Olly. What a good boy!” Rick tapes a fresh diaper on. “Okay, time to play!” Rick brings Oliver over to a play area in the daycare. Oliver eyes the toys distastefully. He doesn’t want to play, he wants to become an adult again.
As he thinks over his next action, Oliver realizes something. The last diaper change hadn’t embarrassed him. He had wanted it to be over quickly, yes, but it was because he was bored. Already, Oliver has gotten used to diaper changes.
The realization makes Oliver even more determined to become an adult again. He can’t allow himself to get used to pooping and peeing himself.
