"Should I send her even further back???" Anna thought as she looked at the now seven year old Laura, conflicted about what to do. Eventually making a decision, she turned and began to walk out of the room, both dice in hand. Just before she walked out the door, she turned to take one more glance at the child on the bed, only to walk into the wall on the right side of the door and have the dice fly out of her hand and into the hallway.
"Anna Chen, Twenty Four years you have walked this Earth, now this number is but Nineteen. Each roll of the die returns more of what you have lost..." The mysterious voice booms in her head. A shudder runs through her body as her body changes to her new age, losing a few pounds and a cup size. Terrified at what she has just done, she whips around just in time for the voice to boom again:
"Laura Peters, Seven years you have walked this Earth, now this number is but Five. Each roll of the die takes you closer to your mother's womb." This change wasn't as dramatic as last time, but dramatic nonetheless. She lost another three inches and gained some baby fat as the second grader became a kindergartener.
"Shit, shit, shit..." Was all Anna could mutter as she quickly ran over to the dice and picked them up gingerly, hoping she wouldn't drop them again and make this situation worse. All of a sudden, a thought hit her. What if rolling them again would actually make this situation better? Once Laura woke up, she would probably yell at Anna about being irresponsible with the dice, so what if she couldn't speak???
Anna turned back towards the room thinking about this...
