He takes both of you to the shore of the island and speaks
"Now, both of you donkeys are probably going to part ways as both of you will have different destinies" he says "Now, both of you will be sent somewhere. Either a farm, where you will be treated nicely and taken good care of or to the salt mines, where you'll have to work endlessly for the rest of your lives. Since you boys have missed the ship earlier. I'm gonna let you stay stay here for a few days before the ship finally arrives to take you away." "Now go to your stables!"
