Toddler Jen was immediately replaced with teenage Jen, complete with pimples and braces. Jen crossed her arms and glared at Amanda.
“Amanda, you’re not allowed to have a phone at your age,” she scolded. Heather, who had become younger as well, laughed.
“She can play on it until bedtime.” Heather walked over to Amanda and picked her up. “She deserves to have a treat after landing a diaper commercial!”
“Ugh!” Jen scoffed. “You spoil her rotten, just because she’s a model!”
“If she’s upset, it would ruin her shoots,” Heather said. Jen scoffed again and stormed out of the room. Heather smiled at Amanda. “What do you want for dinner?”
“Pizza,” Amanda said cheerfully.
“Mommy will make you some tasty pizza right away,” Heather said, buckling Amanda into a highchair. Amanda leaned back, thinking. It seemed like she was no longer an adult that had caught a mysterious disease, but a toddler who was already making a name for herself. Jen was her older sister and Heather her mother.
Things could be worse. But they could also be better.
While Heather’s back was turned, Amanda took out the phone again. Jen stomped into the kitchen and sat at the table, glaring at Amanda. Amanda generated a new sentence. She grinned at what she saw.
“Jen is jealous of her younger sister's modelling.”
This was the perfect opportunity to make things even worse for Jen.
