Ash was definitely riding high on his turn of fortunes. His family had never been exceptionally well off. His friends from his youth had all moved to different cities or different states before the internet was a causal thing. And he'd been in the same dead-end job for a decade. Now for all intents and purposes, he'd won the lottery. Unless some cosmic brow-beater showed up to pass judgement upon him for finally being lucky in his life as the manual had warned (which Ash had no intention of kowtowing to), he was going to make absolutely everything of his new toy. True, he inevitably going to get bored of it, (even he had some mild interest in the furry fandom but hadn't attended a convention in his life), but by then he was going to be living like a king surrounded by women who loved him "unconditionally." Wait...
"Katty," he asked the naked cat woman. "What do you think of Jess?"
"Oh she's a wonderful friend Master, I couldn't ask for a closer roommate!" Katty smiled and nodded.
"And... you're anything more?" Ash asked carefully.
"Naw! I'm just not attracted to girls." Katty shrugged.
Ash admitted, he had loathed Katty and Jon for their obnoxious nighty noise blaring into his modest home... Now that he was removed from the situation in hindsight, he wondered if he should have simply knocked and asked to join in. Bah. 20-20. Didn't matter now. But the point was that he didn't know all the close details about them... but maybe he should experiment some.
"Katty, follow."
"As if you need to ask Master," Katty said simply as he walked out of the electronic store, ignoring for the moment all the future "always-been" maids around him. He searched the mall for what he was hoping to see. These were liberal times, and while Ash considered himself old fashioned and proud of it, he admitted to the changing world. He knew the chances of actually finding what he was looking for weren't exactly guaranteed, but still... perfect. There was a couple men on a stone bench in front of the in-door fountain kissing.
He aimed the ray gun and fired... the two never stopped kissing. Even as their clothes vanished and their bodies were covered in fur. One turning snow white, and the other sky blue. Their feet becoming identical digitgrated paws, and their hands paws with thumbs. Their faces pushed into lupine muzzles. Fox tails puffed out of their rears, their bodies becoming lithe and agile, petite breasts budding on both fox-women. Triangular ears formed on top of their heads. The kiss finally broke and they opened their eyes, showing solid dark blue and dark amber eyes without whites that shined like gems.
They stood up and bowed together. "Hello Master, how may we serve you?"
Ash remembered that those transformed wouldn't automatically do any carnal favor, implying that it was down to the maids' own free will, so he could find out without worry.
"Do you mind if I join in?" Ash asked.
The two blushed under their fur. And the snow white one said. "Sorry Master, but we just don't swing that way."
"Oh! Sorry! Silly me! I apologize!" Ash gave a slight bow.
"It's alright Master," assured the sky blue one.
He guessed 'unconditional love' didn't automatically mean romantic love after all. This seemed to confirm the idea that those changed who were straight remained straight, and vice versa, he guessed bis weren't affected at all.
There was a 'PING!' from his ray gun that the others around him didn't seem to notice.
Checking his ray gun, he was surprised when a holographic display lit up with the words,
'Congratulations! You have created five (5) new anthro maids and unlocked version 1.2.2. In this new update you can now change the settings of previously existing maids. Change them from adorable to busty, maid dress to nude, and even change their species! You can also alter the reality setting to add or remove awareness. Changing from "reality distortion field" to "change awareness" will cause the target to realize their changes at that moment. Your next upgrade is at ten (10) created anthro maids.'
Ash thought, 'Well... guess it's like a clicker game. Always more surprises the more people you zap. That's bound to keep things interesting.'
